My Camera

 This photo was taken while waiting for our dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken one Sunday.
That's a tree, a pedestrian lane, McDonald's, motorcycles and cars outside the window
and the lights and people inside the fast food.   Not a good shot for Weekend reflections
but a good one for memory's sake.

 Those are my glasses on the table.  It is not quite helpful in telling me if I have taken a nice reflection shot for an internet meme, nor is  my camera's 1"x1" screen.  A very old model indeed with a loosened shutter that needs fixing up.  Can't even part with it a day; how much more for the two weeks to send it away for repair.
I have yet to find out if it is the camera I am attached to or the moments that I want to capture and hold on to.

Moments like these,
Father and son talking,

being inside an almost empty movie theater,
and more that I can capture
to feed this blog of mine.

I just finished an F-R-E-E writing in two pieces of paper and less than a quarter.

This is a nice place to visit and there are more to explore.

Praise Phrase

To travel life's pathway
A journey without goals
A destination in life undetermined
in death for sure.

To not gain what is meant to be lost
As nothing to lose means gain.

He changes the heart
I know He does
for He changeth mine.

Well written words have changed my life
My changed life needs well-written words to tell
Alas! While thoughts come in torrents,
Inspired, yet lacking for phrases to represent
I sit and anticipate to pound the keys
Its warmth attest to hours I wait
To seize the phrase conveyed by faith.

A Journey

I was not born here so I cannot call this place my homeland. 
This is the place where God, in his loving grace led me to choose.
This is the place that embraced me as a lone traveler
     in search for life's meaning.
The place where He proved Himself true to His promises
The place He took me on a journey of the mind and spirit
while I physically put down roots twenty two years ago.

This shall be a work in progress as I gather the pieces together.
I have lived close to this place,

A crowded and noisy night market.
This brings back the memory of a time when I have to put myself to sleep each night
 listening to a recorded phone message of His verse, read in a language I do not yet fully grasp
just to hear a voice directly spoken to me.

Against Time

Hello! I miss my son so much today.

He is out at a study center somewhere

filling in blanks after blanks

pages after pages of questionnaires

which they have been trained to do

since he started first year junior high school.

Sad to say, I think it started way back, 9 years ago

when he started Grade One.

The pressure was different then as it is now,

seven days to D-day.

I called his cell phone to let him know

How much I miss him.

Our meals together were short and quick if we did take them together at all.

Conversations were hurried as he worked against time to read more.

It is another moment to look up

To ask for Our Heavenly Father's guidance

in times like these.

My Nook

This is it! This is where I shall spend hours a day.

This is where I shall visit each day

when I need a place to be

when I need to look out the window

to see what is going on out there,

or when I need to unfurl a bit;

I shall call this my nook.
